ContactsLaw: [Known issue] Documents stuck in checked out state

Documents remain "permanently" checked out when closing ContactsLaw

When you exit ContactsLaw, it performs a check to determine whether any documents are currently checked out to you, and offers the ability to check these documents back in to the library. However, occasionally it is possible for a document to enter a state where it cannot be checked-in using this mechanism.
 
If this happens, please check the following:
  • Is the document open in an editor such as Microsoft Word?
    (Close the editor)

  • Has the operating system erroneously placed a resource lock on the document?
    (Try restarting your computer)

  • Are you attempting to check-in documents while a backup or maintenance operation is running, or when the server is otherwise unavailable?
    (Try again another time)

  • Are you working from multiple locations (such as a remote computer or second workstation)?
    (Check all other computers you are using)

  • Have you recently restored from a backup or executed a similar disaster recovery plan?
    (Contact CPMS for technical support)
